A debut release from Tasman Richardson (aka the Blameshifter), featuring electro-oriented IDM reminiscent of early Autechre. There are a lot of blips and bleeps and complex percussive patterns, like taking an algebra and geometry course through music rather than sight and lecture. Also, much textural shape shifting and angular morphing goes on here, ideal as a soundtrack to an abstract 3D computer animation piece. The CD starts off fairly kinetic and energetic then winds down to more esoteric and abstract electronic realms. Ctrl + Alt + Del is ideal music for the armchair listener who's into mad techno composition skills.
