A rather conventional album for avant-garde label Iris Light, featuring trip-hop and down-tempo sounds that may be considered off the beaten path but not experimental. Corrosion is good for beat heads that want more substance to their sounds glazed with generous doses of dub and set to less kinetic speeds. A track entitled "Sunday" is unique since the music features female vocals orating a Gregorian-type chant accompanied by a Muazzin proclaiming the call to prayer in Arabic - an interesting interfaith piece. A good album, definitely better than much of the beat driven mediocrity out there, just a surprise to find it on Iris Light.
