Local hardcore heroes Fucked Up turned in what was undoubtedly the most explosive show of the festival with an early morning expo that shook Queen St. hotspot Wrongbar to its foundation, inciting a crowd-swallowing mosh pit fitting of the bands matter-of-fact moniker. Curious concertgoers and unsuspecting photogs lining the front row were left battling for self-preservation against the disorienting crush of unhinged fans when singer Damian Abraham mounted the stage and kicked off 40 minutes of sweat-soaked sonic fury, sending bodies, beer and even a pair of shoes flying in the process. With his heavy-handed bandmates providing the audacious score to diatribes against the summer heat and other semi-audible musings, the frontman hammered home the heart-pumping, appointment-setting experience that, judging by the cheshire cat expressions filling the room, had been guaranteed from even before the first note split the air.
