Meek

Mike Baugh, a bedroom composer from Calgary, Alberta, has put out a raw demo somewhat rough around the edges yet his programming and sound development skill is evident. Meek has been featured on compilations put out by UK labels Worm Interface and Fat Cat Records. For all his rawness and lack of structure, CDR-3 has its moments of beauty as demonstrated in "YUNX (Meek sky mix)," which has a deep dreamy resonance belying a brooding atmosphere. Meek's more playful side emerges on "The Upward Spiral," a simple, melodic old school techno track reminiscent of early SETI on Instinct.
