Metamatics

Midnight Sun Pig

BY I. KhiderPublished Apr 1, 2001

This would be a good album for a soundtrack to a non-violent, strategy-based computer game. The mathematician who produced this album evidently has formidable sequencing and programming skills, which went to making a wonky, light-hearted but upbeat album. Ideal for those who like some silliness in their electronic music, I even detect a bit of Mixmaster Morris influence, somewhat similar to It’s Tomorrow Already. Many funky and laid back lounge elements with a distinct sense of humour are present but there is also a strong electro-based sound throughout the record, which is made in the UK, after all, a place world famous for their electro producers. I would file this album under easy-listening electronic music.
