What was supposed to be mark the climactic conclusion of the festivals main portion turned out to be anything but as progressive hip-hop producers Platinum Pied Pipers played an amped set to about 25 people who made it out to Sound Academy for the one a.m. show time. Despite the entirely unforgivable venue choice, PPP carried on as though the house was packed, with singers Coultrain and Karma controlling the soul upfront while Waajeed and birthday boy Saadiq poured on their much fêted brand of futuristic, synth-rich rock and soul. Its just a damn shame nobody was there to see it.
